Fever: GOOD OR BAD?
Allergy, cold and flu season is approaching. Are you or the kids feeling the sinus pressure, headaches, and body aches?? Don't want to load up on drugs? We have another option!
Having a fever is good up to a certain extent. A fever's job is the body's way of killing the infection. A fever dilates arteries, brings nutrients, oxygen, white blood cells: everything the body needs to fight off on infection.
If we bring the fever down right away the arteries do not dilate and the body has a harder time killing the infection. If the fever does get too high, a non-medicine approach would be to give the patient an enema. A enema increases the hydration level and brings the fever down immediately.
